What is True Rating?

The displayed overall in MLB The Show can sometimes mask a card's actual performance potential, especially for cards at 99 overall. We use advanced machine learning to calculate a card's complete value by:

• Analyzing attributes to calculate ratings beyond the 99 overall cap
• Using weighted calculations to determine how a card's attributes affect their actual performance level
• Factoring in the impact of player quirks (toggleable)

You can customize the view to include or exclude:

• Quirk impact values
• Secondary positions

This helps you discover which cards perform above their displayed overall and identify hidden gems that play better than their overall suggests.
